Importance of Sawan in 2023

In the year 2023, the month of Sawan will hold special significance due to some rare coincidences. It will commence on July 4 and conclude on August 31, lasting for a total of 58 days. This extended duration occurs after a span of 19 years, making it an extraordinary occurrence. The reason behind this is the presence of Adhikamas, also known as Malmas and Purushottam. Adhikamas is an additional month that appears in the Hindu calendar every third year when there is no Surya Sankranti, signifying a month transition.
